THE PROBLEM WITH BLINDS
Most blinds owners consider blinds cleaning to be a chore. People don't know how to clean them and forget about them, altogether. Conventional methods don’t work.
Hosing down a blind or scrubbing it in the bathtub is time consuming, with limited results and risks damaging the blinds. Dusting just moves the dirt around, creating static electricity, which attracts more dirt. We're sure you know this is a frustrating practice.
Household cleaners can be harmful; they can remove paint and stain the blinds. Power washing and steam cleaning can ruin the blinds’ surface.
Blinds are highly static and attract dust and airborne dirt, affecting the people near them. They often sit above air ducts, where air is pumped right through them. If these blinds aren’t cleaned out, the dirty air will circulate, causing people with respiratory sensitivity to suffer.
THE SOLUTION
MK Ultrasonics offers a safe, efficient, cost-effective solution, in the form of ultrasonic cleaning. With our process, blinds are safely cleaned, in a way that prevents scratching, pitting, or other damage.
With the ultrasonic machine’s penetrating sonic waves, the entire blind is cleaned, including the slats, cord, ladders, tapes, and head rail. No part of the blind is missed, and we are able to clean every type of blinds on the market.
Our ultrasonic system accomplishes this via high-frequency waves introduced into a solution via transducers. This process develops a force against a tensioned-wire quartz crystal (the sonotrode), whose natural frequency of vibrations are maintained by a feedback loop with an amplifier in the loop (the same ultrasonic technology used in hospitals’ ultrasound equipment.)
Ours is a gentle, effective, process that agitates a fluid, which can be just water. However, a solvent, appropriate for the object to be cleaned and the type of soiling present, is often also used (ours is mild and biodegradable.)
Two processes take place to remove contamination during the ultrasonic cleaning process: cavitation and acoustic streaming. In cavitation, millions of tiny bubbles are formed in the cleaning fluid. When these bubbles collapse, they form high-velocity jets that gently remove contaminants.
Contaminants are then carried away from the surface by acoustic streaming, the cleaning mechanism that occurs at lower frequencies.
COST-EFFECTIVE
Our primary goal is to save clients money. Some blinds owners are overwhelmed at the thought of how to properly clean their blinds and end up replacing them with brand new window coverings.
Our cost-effective services save them ninety percent of the cost of new blinds.
That is, the cost of new blinds can be as much as ten times that of what we would offer them. Were a customer to spend $1,000 on new blinds, we would instead save them $900, when they utilize our expertise.
